About

Pine Hub started as a group chat between four friends who kept sending each other links to weird little mobile games. At some point the chat got messy enough that we decided to turn it into a proper site, where the recommendations could live somewhere other than a scrolled-past message.

We are an independent editorial team. Nobody tells us what to cover, and we don't run a scoreboard of the biggest launches. Instead we focus on games from small or solo developers that we think deserve more attention than the charts give them.

Choosing what to review is simple in theory: we install it, we play it for several sessions across a few days, and if there's something worth saying, we write it. If a game bores us or falls apart after an hour, it usually doesn't make the page at all.

We care about genre variety. A puzzle-only site gets dull fast, so you'll find RPGs, strategy, racing, and relaxed sims sitting next to each other here. If it runs on a phone and it's interesting, it's fair game.

Lukas Berger — Lukas has been writing about games for over a decade and still keeps three phones charged just to test releases. He edits every review before it goes live.
